With the release of “CAPTAIN,” his eagerly awaited sophomore album, BNXN fka Buju, a well-respected singer and songwriter from Nigeria, has wowed his cherished supporters.

After the success of his fifteen-track debut album Sincerely, Benson, which was released in October 2023, Nigerian Afro-fusion star BNXN fka Buju has returned with a new project titled Captain. This marks his second official studio album.

The title Captain comes from a nickname his friends gave him when he was younger. It represents leadership and strength in the fast-paced music industry. BNXN says the name is a metaphor for how he moves through the music world, guiding his sound with purpose and creativity.

Seyi Vibez, a top-notch Afropop singer and Vibez Inc boss makes another appearance on the second track. He also featured on the popular song GWAGWALADA from BNXN’s debut album. The project also includes guest appearances from FOLA, a rising artist signed to Dangbana Republik, Rema, a popular Afrobeats prince under Mavin Records, Victony, a talented Nigerian singer-songwriter, and the Soweto Gospel Choir, a Grammy-winning group from South Africa formed by Gift Ledimo, David Mulovhedzi and Beverly Bryer.

The production of the album was handled by several skilled producers such as Blaise Beatz, Kel-P, Vampire Craze, and others. They worked closely with BNXN to create a sound that stands out and leaves a strong impression.
